Built as a train workshop in 1860, this enormous building has been converted into a shopping centre. It’s not the best shopping in Durban, and it’s entirely possible that you will visit and not leave with anything special. Still, it’s worth a visit just to walk under the Victorian vaulted glass ceiling. On the weekends, preachers or performers draw crowds to the plaza out front.
