Windhoek has a lot to recommend it. It’s got a small-town feel but a cosmopolitan flavor that comes from being a capital city. And it’s the best place to sample all the great Namibian beers. This city of just 322,000 people produces a dozen beers, from the market-dominating Windhoek label to seasonal varieties and upstarts like Camelthorn.
I did a whole thing about it for CNN, so no need to rehash it all here. Below is a link and a preview. And remember, Namibians say if you drink local, you won’t get a hangover.
